Jim Gigl stands in his corn field part of the 120 acres he farms in Chebanse, Ill. In the early Fall of 2003 Gigl was diagnosed with west nile virus which kept him in the hospital for 8 days where he lost around 30 pounds. Part of Gigl's affects to the virus were loss of memory, Gigl said he didn't remember much of the experience of being in the hospital except when the doctor came in to tell him he had West Nile Virus.
